Competition to Make a Local Organization a Fair Trade Champion

Ben Emmanuel: Caribbean Fair Trade Banana Grower
Become a fair trade advocate for your congregation, community organization, school or university in Boulder and win a trip to the Dominican Republic.

What is the competition and how can I win?
We want you to raise the profile of fair trade within a Boulder organization.  Find out how to do this and win the fair trade prizes...
  • Congregations: perhaps you are a member of a church, synagogue or other faith-based congregation in Boulder.  In which case, we would like you help the congregation to use more fair trade products and to include fair trade topics in the services, Sunday school activities and social justice events.  Follow our step-by-step guide to creating a Fair Trade Congregation and winning a prize.
  • Schools: if you are a student or staff member of a high school, then you can help your school become a Fair Trade School.   Take a look at our guide so that you can create a Fair Trade School and win a great prize.
  • Universities: if you are at CU or Naropa (ie student, faculty or staff), then you can lead a campaign to make the school a Fair Trade University.  Check out our guide on how to make CU or Naropa a Fair Trade University and win a prize.
  • Community Organizations: perhaps you are a part of another community organization in Boulder.  In this case, you can introduce the organization to the benefits of fair trade and help the organization champion fair trade among its members.  Take a look at the guide on how to create a Fair Trade Congregation, which is a very similar to a non-faith-based organization.
